HPCIndustrial powered by Clean Harbors inLa Porte TXis looking for aWelder/Fabricatorto work at our customer location and to join their safety conscious team!This team member is responsible for the successful of the application of trade skills to a wide variety of welding fitting and custom fabrication and various other responsibilities. TheWelder/Fabricatorserves as a representative ofHPCIndustrialin creating a continuous working relationship with clients/customers.Transitioning Military this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.

Responsibilities
1. Adhere to company policies practices and procedures.
welding operations as required by job specifications with SMAW GTAW GMAW and FCAW.
of raw materials and understands MTRs and electrode classifications.
pre welding operations with saws shears automated cutting equipment for shaping and preparation.
the use of weld inspection tools and their use.
in dimensional verification checks.
basic inspection of welds for discontinuities.
advanced fabrication documents measuring etc.
will require occasional weekend Holiday and/or evening work.
Qualifications
.Must have a High School education or equivalent.
have completed the 90day probation period.
have completed and demonstrated proficiency in all safety and welding applications.
have completed and passed a 6G test on carbon steel
have the ability to multi task.
possess good mechanical skills.
be able to take direction from others.
the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
be detail oriented.
have a good math aptitude.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
experience working as a welder/fitter.
transportation.
to operate machine tools such as drill press lathe milling machines and utilize precision measuring instruments is a plus.
to communicate effectively and utilize computers is also a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
ability to use hand tools for pushing and pulling.
ability to work overhead.
ability to work safely in a shop environment.
