Gifted Testing Technician Timesheet

Location: Gifted Education Department

Temporary

Paysheet: $27.00/hr Timesheet

Estimated Start Date: 7/1/2025

*This position requires an ADE certificate.*

Purpose Statement

The job of Gifted Testing Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for assisting in the assessment process of gifted students; administering tests; documenting testing information; and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative requirements.

This job reports to the Director of Gifted Education.

Essential Functions

Administers tests to referred students for the purpose of determining program eligibility.

Interprets test scores for the purpose of providing information to determine student placement.

Maintains a variety of confidential and nonconfidential manual and electronic files and records for the purpose of ensuring availability of material as needed.

Prepares documentation of test results for the purpose of developing recommendations and/or conveying information in accordance with established guidelines.

Schedules student tests for the purpose of evaluating students in accordance with District and/or state requirements.

Other Functions

Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications

Skills Knowledge and Abilities

SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications; presenting information.

KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math including calculations using fractions percents and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals write documents following prescribed formats and/or present information to others; and understand complex multistep written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: pertinent codes policies regulations and/or laws; familiar with gifted identification assessments.

ABILITY is required to schedule activities meetings and/or events; gather collate and/or classify data; and use basic jobrelated equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined and similar processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize jobrelated equipment. Problemsolving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data may require independentinterpretation; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: meeting deadlines and schedules; maintaining security and confidentiality.

Responsibility

Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading guiding and/or coordinating others; utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the jobs functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organizations services.

Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80 sitting10 walking and 10 standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.

Experience: Job related experience is required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
