- Fixed term part time position 7 days a fortnight until December 2025

About the Role
We are seeking avibrant and selfmotivated individual to join our Specialist Clinics. As a Referral Clerk you will be accountable for managing internal and external referrals to the Specialist Clinics within the policy and guidelines of the Department of Health (DoH) and Specialist Clinics.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong customer service skills as well as excellent organisational and communication skills in your work environment.
- Schedule patients
- Audit waiting lists.
- Work with the nursing and medical teams to ensure Specialist Clinics referrals are managed in accordance with policy
- Action booking requests from across the organisation and schedule patients
- Call and liaise with patients and GPs
Classifications for this position will range from HS1 HS17 $58442 $64610 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications
- Excellent customer service organisational and communication skills
- Completion of a medical terminology course is desirable
- Experience in the health care industry is desirable
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check or willing to obtain

The Specialist clinics provide over 90000 non admitted patient appointments per year across 20 different medical and surgical specialties and receive over 26000 new referrals per year. This is a fast paced and exciting place to work being the gateway to the rest of the health service.
