Job Description
KASEC will have several Paraprofessional positions open for theschool year. Positions will be available in the Alternative Day Program (for students with behavioral/emotional challenges) the Communications Program (for students on the Autism Spectrum) and the Transition Program (for students aged 1721 yrs).
Qualifications
- Must hold (or be able to attain) ISBE Paraprofessional license
- Must be able to complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training for verbal deescalation techniques and physical restraint strategies
- Possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work on a team
- Have an excellent attendance record
- Flexibility and selfmotivation
- Willingness to take direction and follow through on tasks
