We are seeking a highlymotivated outgoing and creative individual with experience producing comedic relevant and engaging social media content to join the NYC Department of Transportations Office of Communications as a Creative Strategist.
The selected candidate reporting to a Creative Director will help develop produce and post social media content across several social media channels as well as offer support and guidance for the cohesive creative vision of other communication mediums including marketing website graphic design videography & photography and other related work.
The Creative Strategist will develop fun engaging innovative and creative ideas and concepts that align with Office of Communications and agency goals and will collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective .
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop creative messaging and strategies to advance agency goals across social media channels;
Stay up to date on both current social media trends as well as the agencys press initiatives;
Coordinate with other departments within the agency for the production of social media content highlighting their work;
Produce engaging video and image content highlighting the work of different departments;
Write creative and compelling copy for social media;
Offer guidance on copy for marketing materials press materials and other multimedia projects across other communications channels;
Monitor and maintain the agencys social media profiles;

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
