Corporate Partnerships OfficerSUMMARY: The Corporate Partnerships Officer is responsible for developing growing and stewarding new and current relationships with corporations and organizations for partnerships for Austin Pets Alive!. This experienced fundraiser passionate about animal welfare will build engagement around APA!s lifesaving cause and draw the support from corporate donors to make our mission flourish. This is a hybrid role that will require working at least three days a week at an Austin Pets Alive! Location some local day travel to engage with local businesses and occasional weekend events.The Corporate Partnerships Officer will work alongside the Senior Director of Philanthropy and Communication to grow corporate giving while continuing to support the needs of these partners. This role will implement the strategic direction for the prospecting cultivation solicitation and stewardship of corporate gifts; producing written proposals presentation materials and an ambitious outreach plan. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will also take on the active management of APA!s portfolio of existing corporate donors while growing the program into one that will build a foundation of donors looking to make a deeper impact through corporate social responsibility. The role of the Corporate Partnerships Officer is critical to building partnerships that support programs events overall organization operations and APA!s upcoming capital campaign. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong record of success working with corporations who will drive corporate fundraising to quickly meet challenging revenue goals as APA! dives deeper into its ongoing transformation from a grassroots organization to a national changemaker. The Corporate Partnerships Officer must be an effective communicator with the ability to inspire all audiences and must be firmly committed to our lifesaving cause.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Lead and implement a comprehensive cultivation communication and solicitation strategy that appropriately and consistently promotes the acquisition and retention of corporate supporters
- Strengthen existing partnerships and build new meaningful relationships with corporate supporters creating engagement and a deep sense of community around our mission and positioning the organization as a valued indemand partner
- Develop and implement annual and longerterm plans to increase giving and levels of participation for corporate partnerships to reach $1M in corporate revenue in 2025
- Understand the entire corporate relations process including how to identify prospects research corporations needs negotiate contracts and provide stewardship
- Develop highly competitive proposals for corporate support and partnerships and provide all update and reporting requirements
- Develop strategies designed to demonstrate the programs and mission of the organization to achieve increased funding and create polished compelling presentations decks and customized collateral for prospective partners
- Make frequent inperson visits and cold calls to corporate stakeholders to obtain meetings cultivate relationships and market program opportunities to corporate entities in various industries
- Secure new and renewing event and monthly sponsorship revenue by identifying prospects researching qualifying approaching and soliciting to secure support
- Work closely with all members of the Marketing Communications/Philanthropy Team to ensure corporate sponsors receive appropriate recognition through media and marketing materials
- Work with organization leadership to establish and execute customized corporate and employee engagement strategies
- Actively manage and grow the existing portfolio of more than 125 corporations
- Manage and expand the caseload of matching gift companies and collaborate with the Philanthropy Team to build donor awareness of workplace giving opportunities
- Manage all aspects of the causemarketing program including responding to inquiries seeking new opportunities coordinating agreements negotiating marketing requirements and developing Round Up at the Register partnerships
- Solicit inkind donations for events programs and other organization needs
- Effectively address all external and internal corporaterelated inquiries via email and phone
- Maintain accurate contact information and detailed progress notes within the organizations donor database
- Participate in the collaborative stewardship and cultivation work of the Philanthropy team
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all departments and team members
- Create weekly reports on progress in relationshipbuilding and secured commitments to share with the Sr. Director of Philanthropy and Communications
- Provide additional support to the Sr. Director of Philanthropy and Communications as needed

- Bachelors degree in a related field or five or more years of corporate fundraising or sales experience
- Demonstrated success in reaching revenue goals
- Experience with forming and maintaining highlevel partnerships
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present to highlevel decisionmakers
- Substantial experience making direct facetoface solicitations cold calls and developing written proposals
- Ability to understand and meet funder requirements and organization policies
- An extrovert who is eager to network initiate and build relationships and inspire engagement
- Strong data and financial acumen
- Work well under pressure and be flexible creative enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the community

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Two years of experience developing strong partnerships with corporations for a nonprofit organization
- Experience developing and explaining the value proposition for corporations to partner with a nonprofit organization

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:- This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Philanthropy and Communications
TIME COMMITMENT:- This is a fulltime exempt position of 40 hours weekly including some evenings and weekends
