This is a one year interim position at Aspire Triumph Technology Academy for theschool year.

The Manager of Family Supports develops a healthy school community culture of College for Certain by managing the relationship building between the school sites and the parents of scholars and potential scholars.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage oncampus parent volunteers
  • Manage the campus during evening hours and on weekends during school supported/sponsored activities
  • Manage the onsite community center during operating hours
  • Support the development of student culture and student life in a strong College for Certain culture including school norms and rituals such as Town Halls Winter and Spring Shows Saturday Schools and other events
  • Coordinate activities related to students such as extracurricular activities and school studentsponsored events including fundraisers and promotions
  • Assist the Principal with setting implementing and enforcing Aspire policies related to student participation in extracurricular activities
  • Coordinate financial operations related to student life including ensuring revenues and expenditures are properly accounted for tracked and communicated under the supervision of the Principal
  • Manage interactions between school and scholar families in matters related to recruitment and enrollment working with families in related activities and supporting the Principal with student recruiting activities
  • Run parent group sessions
  • Manage ASC meetings
  • Help the Principal represent the school site in building an effective school community including:
  • Work with parents to better support their child/childrens academic behavioral and social development
  • Garner support from community groups and leaders
  • Develop positive relationships with external partnerships
  • Work in collaboration with Principal and Home Office to achieve site and organizational goals
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and support Aspire Public Schools mission vision value statements standards policies and procedures operating instructions confidentiality standards and the code of ethical behavior
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

What You Will Bring:

1 Required knowledge skills & abilities:

  • Strong event management skills from idea through and evaluation
  • Excellent relationshipbuilding and management skills
  • Strong communication presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively and interact effectively with different audiences
  • Strong organization time management and followup skills; high sense of urgency; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently; ability to work as a team
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking and writing
  • Experience with leadership including demonstrated strength in culturebuilding and leading peers
  • Knowledge of Aspire procedures and policies related to students
  • Demonstrated commitment to students and learning

2 Minimum educational level:

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred

3 Experience required:

  • 2 years of experience working in either parent or activities coordinator role
