Senior Counsel for Beckman Coulter will join an inclusive and serviceoriented team of attorneys and legal professionals and will report to the Assistant General Counsel Transactions. This is a broad often complex and interesting practice with significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.

This role will work directly with executives and associates at all levels of the business participating in leadership meetings and supporting multiple Business Units (Clinical Chemistry Automation Hematology Urinalysis) Operations and enabling functions.

This position is part of the Legal function and will be onsite either in Chaska Minnesota or Brea California. We will consider a remote option for highlyqualified candidates.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

• Serve as the strategic business partner for the Senior Counsels clients to support business objectives and advise on risk mitigation strategies
• Provide practical solutionoriented approaches to a broad range of legal issues and risks and then structure write and negotiate agreements addressing those issues and risks
• In partnership with specialist attorneys and other professionals advise on regulatory compliance privacy and litigation matters
• Supervise legal professionals and other associates on standard agreements
• Using Danaher Business System (DBS) concepts work with legal department colleagues to identify design and implement continuous process improvement initiatives such as initiatives to improve the departments client service levels or streamline the departments template agreements.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and 6 or more years of business law experience in the medical device or life sciences industry in a law firm and/or corporate legal department
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction
• Up to 15 of travel to company sites as required

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience with healthcare regulation including: fraud and abuse (e.g. antikickback); FDA for medical devices; data use and privacy (e.g. HIPAA GDPR); and anticorruption (e.g. FCPA)
• Experience with software transactions

The salary range for this role is $160000$190000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
