The job of a traffic control technician is to assist with ensuring pedestrians and automobiles do not interfere with a construction project. As a TC laborer your duties are to assist in directing or diverting pedestrian and vehicle traffic to ensure the safety of the workers and traveling public in the work zone.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include placing temporary traffic control devices such as sign stands barricades and delineators as needed to cover scope of work being performed by contractor.
Assisting in setting up proper Lane closures Flagging/ Shift set ups Road closures all per M.U.T.C.D standards or Approved TC plan.
Work is performed outdoors at construction sites (various locations).
