Job Description

ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster cheaper more energyefficient microchips. We design develop integrate market and service these advanced machines which enable our customers the worlds leading chipmakers to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips which in turn leads to smaller more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven the Netherlands and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler Arizona San Jose and San Diego California Wilton Connecticut and Hillsboro Oregon.

Job Mission

The Head of Strategic Marketing will work to ensure long term ASML business success through understanding of market and technology changes and ensuring current and future ASML products and strategy are aligned to meet Key Customers requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead strategic marketing alignment with a key USA customer.

  • Support aligning longterm customer roadmaps and node requirements 510 years or more in the future) with ASML solutions addressing both technical performance and cost.

  • Align customer capacity scenarios to end market demandand align market opportunity for new and installed systems extending the horizon beyond account teams visibility including disruptive factors beyond market driven demand.

  • Develop an indepth understanding of customer business objectives business model and targets and translate this into negotiation targets for ASML.

  • Identify investigate and strategize the impact of market and technology developments on ASMLs future business and opportunities.

  • Ensure embedding in ASMLs corporate strategy and be voiceofthecustomer in the strategy and planning process.

  • Develop and align competition analysis and competitive positioning strategy.

  • Build and align Customer specific value and ROI analysis.

  • Drive voice of Customer in ASML longterm strategy process.

  • Work closely together with customer teams business lines technology teams and corporate strategy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Education and experience

  • MSc or PhD in Engineering or Physical Science; MBA desirable.

  • 10 years experience in strategic marketing preferable in the semiconductor industry.

  • Extensive industry experience in semiconductor processing design or commercial roles.

  • Recognized industry professional with broad understanding of semiconductor technology and markets.

  • Experience of Lithography systems and customer application strongly preferred.

  • Marketing or commercial experience in semiconductors.

  • Ability to manage stakeholders and manage with influence.

  • Ability to build bridges across disciplines both on an executive level and on an expert technical level.

Other information

A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week working from home). This position often requires an onsite presence to attend inperson meetings workrelated events and trainings to further ensure teamwork collaboration and innovation.
