Who are we looking for
GHD is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager to join our growing practice in our Maritime & Coastal (M&C) group on the East position will be located in Houston TX.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects such as coastal waterfront and municipal infrastructure improvement and resiliency projects. As a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager you will have the opportunity to provide design support project management client management and business development support. The successful candidate will have strong leadership project management and technical engineering skills relating to waterfront / civil engineering projects of various sizes. We are seeking selfmotivated and active staff who value building credible relationships with clients and the community.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with fellow engineers and scientists on a wide range of waterfront / civil engineering projects.
- Contribute to and manage development of technical reports plans and specifications.
- Interact with clients suppliers and regulators and manage projects to successful completion.
- Coordinate and work with crossdiscipline teams on other market sector projects.
- Manage permitting and environmental requirements for maritime and coastal projects.
- Maintain open communication with project teams and M&C group members.
- Keep up to date with technical qualifications and licenses.
- Proactively coach train and empower project team members; handle oversight and maintain project requirements for safety quality efficiency to ensure they are maintained throughout the duration of the project.
- Provide mentorship and development advice to junior level staff.
- Grow existing client relationships across a range of client types (government private contractors).
- Support pursuit/proposal efforts developing scope schedule and budget.
- Stay current and well advised on M&C market trends client spending assets resiliency and logistics.
- Get involved! Involve yourself in local committees action groups and special interest organizations with a view towards furthering your own skills and brand recognition for GHD.

The ideal candidate would possess the following abilities:

Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; Masters degree preferred
- 5 15 years of engineering and project management experience
- Registered Professional Engineer required; PMP preferred but not essential
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficient is desirable
- Knowledge of modeling and design software as applicable
- Dedicated to managing time handling priorities and working in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently
- Ability to manage projects with supporting personnel in both remote and inperson settings.
