Job Description
Project Engineer
ATI has a current need for a fulltime Project Engineer in Anniston Alabama providing engineering support on both new construction and renovation projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include but not be limited to the following:
Enforcing contract requirements for all assigned projects;
Coordinating with customers contractors designers and quality assurance to determine any necessary changes to the contracts and making recommendations to the Government for resolution;
Assuring that construction is accomplished in accordance with the plans and specifications bringing any deficiency to the attention of the contractor and extracting compliance;
Receiving and checking for contract compliance of technical submittals from the contractor such as shop drawings catalog cuts samples etc.;
Investigating the need for contract change orders including consultations with the designer for design changes; and
Delivers draft change orders and modifications for the clients review and signature.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must have more than 5 years of relevant experience on large complex multimillion dollar construction projects preferably in support of the DoD;
Degree in engineering or architecture;
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering concepts principles and practices applicable to the full range of engineering duties concerned with the design installation and inspection of equipment and systems for large military construction activity;
Familiarity with related engineering fields such as electrical mechanical and civil;
Experience with USACEs 3Phase QC/Inspection process EM 38511 USACE Safety Manual and the Resident Management System (RMS) is highly preferred;
Position requires frequent and recurring construction inspections which includes walking climbing stooping and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain;
Knowledge and experience with relevant software including Microsoft Word and Excel;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of professionalism; and
US citizenship and the ability to pass a background check in a timely manner.

Pay Range: $110000 $155000/year depending on degree and experience
Location: Anniston AL
Working Hours: Normal Work Hours Monday Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
