The Supply Chain Procurement and Quality organization is a fastpaced and dynamic environment delivering bestinclass communications equipment and solutions for customers around the world. We plan what products and services are needed source efficiently and ethically from a diverse supply base launch new products make and deliver solutions on time and exceed customer expectations through outstanding quality service and support. In this role you will work closely with our software development teams to establish and enhance quality assurance processes ensuring highquality software products. You will contribute significantly to frontloading quality efforts and conduct thorough software code review analyses to prevent defect leakage.The Quality Team is a highly motivated team that enables business while finding the right balance between customer satisfaction cost and risk. Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality metrics to monitor and improve software quality
Analyze data and metrics to identify trends issues and areas of improvement
Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and industry best practices
Utilize quality tools and methodologies such as DMAIC to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for identified defects
Document and report quality assurance activities and findings
Assessing the product teams performance capability process gaps and improvements areas
Develop establish and enforce quality assurance standards and measures within the organization with an emphasis on frontloading quality efforts.
Collaboratively work with development teams to diagnose issues in software resulting from test validation discrepancies contributing to the resolution.
Perform thorough software code review analysis to identify potential issues and improvements.
Support development of standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness.
Collaboration with product teams to continually improve their products and development process provide support to identify lessons learned develop true preventative actions and track them to completion
Participating in planned internal and external audits and actively following up on findings until closure
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of Quality metrics and their application to continuous improvement processes.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge and experience with Atlassian Suite (JIRA EazyBI Confluence)
Working knowledge and experience with DOORS Requirement Management Tool
Agile SW Development Methodologies preferred
Candidates must have Six Sigma Black belt or Green belt to be considered for this role.
Target Salary Base: $86500 $173000
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Basic Requirements
Required Skills:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology Project Management or Quality Engineering
5 years of work experience in Quality Management (SW HW or Supplier) Software Development or Testing or SW Project Management required.
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt required.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
