Job Overview:

As a Marketplace Supervisor you will play a vital role in helping support the onsite Culinary or Marketplace teams in handling day to day operations. This individual needs to be able lead the team to execute operational SOPs both effectively and efficiently. This includes but not limited to handling receiving inventory storing and distributing all products within the Marketplace. In addition this individual will be responsible for purchasing ingredients and scheduling staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

  • Supervise receiving processes ensuring accurate inspections and storage of products.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and manage reorder levels to maintain stock availability.
  • Oversee product returns and ensure proper documentation and restocking.
  • Create and manage employee schedules to ensure operational efficiency.

Warehouse Organization and Maintenance:

  • Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to move inventory safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure the organization of dry storage walkins and freezer areas within the marketplace.
  • Maintain a safe clean and wellorganized working environment.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.

Process Implementation and Improvement:

  • Focus on and implement efficient processes for:
    • Receiving and inventory management.
    • Ordering and vendor coordination.
    • Product returns and exchanges.
    • Employee scheduling and task assignment.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • 35 years of experience in warehouse operations with at least 12 years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Experience in operating a pallet jack preferred.
  • Experience in the food industry (meal prep food manufacturing or wholesale distribution) is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory and order management software is a plus. Experience with WholesaleWare is highly desirable.

Compensation

All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range for this position

$23 $25 CAD
