Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As a Cocktail Server you will be responsible for excellent customer service by delivering food and alcoholic beverages throughout the casino ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
Position Status: FullTime
Location: Gold Strike Casino
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Place orders garnish and serve cocktails to guests.
Maintain complete knowledge of menu items liquor brands beers and nonalcoholic selections available.
Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment including folding/stacking cocktail napkins stock swizzle sticks straws matches line cocktail trays stock glassware restock supply cabinet inspect the cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management and/or notify the supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events circumstances missing items or alleged theft.
Perform other jobrelated duties as requested.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six 6 months of experience as a cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment.
Able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of beverages on the menu including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass major wines liquor brands beer nonalcoholic beverages designated glassware terminology and garnishes.
Highly motivated and energetic personality.
Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe cigar and/or cigarette smoking. An ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours weekends and holidays may also be required.
