Job Summary/Basic Function

Job Responsibilities:

This position requires availability prior to semester courses beginning and post semester in order to:

  • Prepare wet labs for cadaver transfer to and from supplier
  • Work with faculty on Dissection of cadavers for prosected lab sessions
  • Maintain order and cleaning of wet lab areas
  • Assist faculty in preparing for lab practicals both in wet and dry lab
  • Develop familiarity with the Technology and other active learning tools used in the dry lab
  • Assist faculty in preparing class learning materials
  • Organize and inform faculty and program director of any supply needs
  • Mentor tutors on how to facilitate learning by students enrolled in the courses


The position includes budget management supervision of student staff and marketing plans. Students in this role will be in many discussions regarding opportunity costs as well as reaching the largescale goals of an organization through databased decisionmaking.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop communication skills through the creation of social media posts
  • Engage with multiple audiences (including students who struggle with addiction) through the communication of supportive prevention programming
  • Enhance skills of collaboration as a member of the Health and Wellness team
  • Practice interpersonal skills by working with onsite clients as they arrive at the clinic

Students will develop:

  1. Self Reflection practitioners related to: communication across cultures/age use of logical decision making and interpretation for referrals as needed
  2. Professionals related to: behavior ethical practice standards/activities work expectations integrity.
  3. Colleagues related to mutual respect upholding responsibilities and recognizing others expertise through collaboration communication and supervision.
  4. Educators related to: communications congruent with situations cultural competence and facilitation of personal/professional growth.
  5. Learners related to: engaging in activities that provide service to others modifying their behavior congruent with situations improving their ability to learn and grow.


Compensation

  • Stipend for the academic year: $1500
  • Tuition award for the academic year: 6 credits


The award is based on 20 hours per week for 15 weeks each semester. It is expected that students earn their credit hours in the fall and spring semesters by being enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester. Credits must be earned by May 31 each year. Tuition waiver does not cover fees private music lessons books or OneCard charges. Students will receive of their annual stipend during the Fall semester and of their annual stipend during the Spring semester. Each semester the stipend will be divided into 8 payments. Fall stipends are paid on or about September 15December 31. Spring stipends are paid on or about January 31May 15

Minimum Qualifications

Effective communication is required in the handling of programming and crisis management.
