Job Description
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent Preferred X Required
Minimum Education
Two years of college X Preferred Require
Medical Assistant Certification X Preferred Required
Required Skills
Certifications:
X Basic Life Support BLS (may be obtained week of orientation)
X Medical Assistant must be credentialed by an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) (within 6 months of hire).
Minimum Work Experience
Required 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Demonstrated phlebotomy experience.
Preferred 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse. Six months of phlebotomy skills to include blood draws is preferred.

The Medical Assistant will provide general patient care in a physician office setting. The Medical Assistant will complete tasks as directed by physician and office manager to ensure seamless operation.
- Under the supervision of physician or nurse assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Administers injections vaccines and medications and other related tasks as instructed by physician.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
