JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Join the creative Student Affairs Communications and Marketing team as a Graphic Design Intern to help visually communicate the impact and importance of our programs and services. Collaborate with a team of professional staff to create dynamic and engaging visuals that bring our messaging to life and resonate with our student audience.
Student Affairs is a division of over 25 units and programs that support student life on campus. Our units represent all aspects of life on campus from health and safety to campus life and belonging to career success and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing print and digital assets for a variety of uses for all Student Affairs units and programs.
Collaborate with professional design staff to develop visual concepts and campaigns for Universitywide impact.
Contribute ideas clearly and actively while accepting feedback and guidance constructively.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite.
Understanding of design principles typography and color theory.
Familiarity with the Penn State brand standards and comfort with implementing both University and division brand elements in to work in an acceptable and creative way.
Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines with a flexible and adaptable approach.
Creativity attention to detail and a collaborative spirit.
As an intern in Student Affairs youll gain realworld experience in digital marketing communications and campus engagement while building a robust portfolio and growing your knowledge of events and resources on campus. Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
