Do you have a passion for teaching The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a dual language immersion kindergarten classroom teaching position that isavailable at Prices Fork Elementary School for theschool year.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To develop and implement a bilingual instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student. All classroom instruction will be conducted in Spanish.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers License with appropriate endorsement to teach at the elementary school level
- Demonstrate bilingual and biliterate skills in Spanish
- Pass an assessment to demonstrate bilingual and biliterate capabilities
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
- Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
- Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
- Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes collaboration and managing coursework
- Create and maintain an inclusive supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
- Communicate effectively with strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
- Demonstrate dependability punctuality and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a dual language classroom or teaching in Spanish
- Hold a masters degree in Education
SALARY: $50072.26 $83120.04 annually; with benefits (salary may change due to budget considerations)
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
