CNC Machinist Precision Innovation Excellence
A leading manufacturing organization is looking for a skilled and detailoriented CNC Machinist to join its dynamic machining team. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced CNC machines including lathes horizontal and vertical mills and 5axis mills to produce highquality components. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of machining principles excellent problemsolving skills and a commitment to safety and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Perform setups on CNC machines including lathes horizontal mills vertical mills and 5axis mills efficiently and safely
- Layout components to verify stock and ensure machinability
- Operate CNC machine tools such as vertical turning mills and horizontal boring mills to machine parts to exact specifications
- Edit CNC programs as needed to ensure accuracy and optimize productivity
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using strong mathematical skills
- Verify component quality using precision inspection tools including micrometers and Vernier calipers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- PA State Approved Journeyman Machinist or Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification
- Ability to pass a physical examination
- Knowledge of G and M codes is a plus
- Strong ability to interpret and work from blueprints
Physical Demands
This role requires physical activity typical of a machining environment including:
- Standing walking bending and lifting for extended periods
- Lifting and handling materials or equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
- Fine motor skills and visual acuity for precision machining and inspection
