What does your typical day look like
As R&D Industrialisation Technologist you will be the link between R&D Test Bakeries large scale bakery manufacture product development project delivery and technical information for specification generation.
You will have good working knowledge of the product development process with key focus on industrialisation scale up and process delivery in an operations setting.
You will be confident in organising and running trials preproduction runs and launches ordering and ensuring materials are on site on time and ensuring all documentation is completed and communicated to key stakeholders.
As this is a group role you will need to be able to travel between sites and be present for key project milestones.
Interaction between functions and working in partnership with key stakeholders to understand current challenges and objectives will be vital to the success of this role.
What are the key ingredients needed for the role
- A degree or equivalent experience in a foodrelated subject and knowledge of product development process and technical systems.
- 2 years experience in a Process Development role large scale bakery beneficial
- Good understanding and strong interest in food product development
- Good understanding of manufacturing capabilities products process flows and HACCP systems.
- Experience in working with all level company business partners
- Experience of HamiltonGrant database is desirable.
- Experience of allergen control is desirable.
- Knowledge of food legislation is desirable.
- High level of computer literacy Microsoft Excel/Word and Internet/SAP
