The DXC Technical Apprenticeship Programme is designed for talented passionate people who are looking to join an agile world leader and are ready to deliver the best solutions to transform businesses in the new digital world.
Our Successful Apprentices will work from our Yeovil office 5 days per week. You must also be eligible to obtain a certain level of Security Clearance and as we work on Secure Defence Accounts Dual Nationals or Visa Sponsorships are not accepted on our Apprentice Programme.
The Apprentice Programme is 80%on the joband 20 training with your provider.
You will receive a competitive salary whilst you learn along with a great benefit package.
We work with some of the countrys leading training providers which you will be allocated to depending on location.
Education and Experience Required:
- Nat 5 or Equivalent is preferred along with 1 STEM subject.
- Nat 5 or Equivalent in Computing / I.T related subjects.

Role Description
A Build Operative is an outstanding individual who can time manage and prioritise workload to reach our targets and exceed customer expectations. You will be responsible for the ownership of the entire laptop tablet and desktop process including both internal and external communication to coordinate each request from beginning to end.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring cleanliness tidiness and safety of work environment
- Collate statistics and maintain records
- Meet daily targets for all devices
- Update and maintain account escalation tracker
- Profile devices laptops desktops tablets
- Troubleshoot problems
- Organise shipping
- Act as point of contact for all device queries
- Liaise with all departments on site to produce seamless operational results
- Highlight risks and opportunities
- Work with the Team Lead to assist with schedule management
- Prioritise tasks to facilitate shipping to meet or exceed deadlines
Personal Skills Knowledge & Experience
- Completion of background investigation
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong accurate Data Entry Skills required
- Strong people skills.
- Good moral character
- Microsoft Office experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Positive work history and work ethic
- Available to work extended hours as required
- Has the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Experience of various hardware desktops laptops tablets
