Job Description
Job Type: Fulltime
Salary: From $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate: Tampa FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Company Overview:Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Paving Laborer with successful and progressive experience in performing various manual tasks associated with paving operations.
Position Summary:The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 1 years of experience as a Paving Laborer.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a safe work environment
- Maintain a safe workplace and ensure best practices
- Developing and executing safety plans
- Comply with company policies while following safety practices and procedures
- Must be on site at the scheduled start time for the Daily Huddle and Tool Box Talk
- Must be able to identify potential hazards and assist in maintaining a safe work environment for all Team Members
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to include day/night shift work with extended hours
- Able to climb ladders maintaining a 3point contact
- Can perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions
- Able to effectively shovel and lute asphalt and push a wheelbarrow
- Assist with layout of project and marking of roadway structures
- Establish and maintain positive relationship with all Team Members and supervisors
- Able to operate a tack wagon
- Assist with MOT set up and flagging operations
- Assist in the loading and unloading of tools and equipment
- Assist in the backing of dump trucks in a safe manner
- Be sure assigned equipment is always properly maintained and kept clean
- Assist in daily project inspection prior to departing to ensure work is complete with the highest quality and all cleanup is complete
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Safety and quality orientated
- Maintain good health status and flexibility to bend push pull stoop and/or twist
- Ability to multitask; detailoriented

- Team player and with strong interpersonal and verbal skills
