Responsibilities & Requirements
RNFirst Assist (RNFA) job duties:
- Assists physicians in surgery and may perform specific significant surgical tasks under professional supervision.
- Surgical tasks include but are not limited to opening and closing surgical sites exposure of the surgical site harvesting grafts dissecting tissue removing tissue implanting devices and altering tissues.
- Under professional supervision theRNFA performs task which include but are not limited to applying and removing splints and/or casts placing Foley catheters placing IVs placing arterial lines administering local anesthesia and other such procedures as requested and necessary.
Applicants Must Have:
- Current RN license in State of Ohio
- Minimum of 24 months RN experience in an OR required.
- Successful completion of approved RNFA course
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS NRP and PALS as determined by unit scope of practice
Preferred Qualifications
Achievement of CNOR certification CRNA preferred
