We are currently seeking an Industrial ElectricianinSaint John NB
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Diagnose & repair electrical issues as they arise
- Perform General Electrical Maintenance including the following but not limited to
- Install/Maintain & Repair electrical controls panel boxes wiring & lighting/heating systems motors generators alternators winches.
- Relocate or Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
- Programming of equipment (i.e VFDs Soft Starts or other equipment as required)
- Read & interpret drawings blueprints schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment and/or installations
- Inspect circuit breakers and other electrical equipment for corrective maintenance
- Maintain at all times a clean & safe working area
- Other general electrical items as required
Requirements
- Red Seal Electrician Trade Certification
- 25yrs of industrial electrical experience
- Working Knowledge of PLCs & Motor Controls would be considered an asset
- Working Knowledge of VFDs & Soft Starts would be considered an asset
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and test equipment
- Motivated SelfStarter
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to work in small enclosed areas
- Perform tasks in offsite and industrial environments
- Be available for oncall duties as needed
- Work Monday to Friday with potential for overtime
- Travel locally as required
