Job Description
Company Overview:Our client is a Staterun utility provider seeking an experienced Equipment Operator.
Position Summary:A successful candidate shall have at least 1 year of operating a variety of equipment and possess Class A CDL license or willing to get it.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects troubleshoots and repairs coal conveyers coal crushing and ash silo unloading equipment.
- Operates mobile heavy machinery in specialized mobile coal handling equipment to unload stockpile and reclaim coal.
- Performs Daily Plant and Heavy Equipment Checks.
- Performs preventive maintenance on coal and ash handling equipment.
- Operates and maintains equipment used to transport and dispose of fly and bottom ash.
- Operates and maintains equipment used to manage the Clear Springs Ranch site.
- Assures compliance with environmental and safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED required
- Be able to use hand tools.
- Be able to turn valves.
- Be able to control plant equipment with the plant control systems.
- Operate Heavy Equipment Ranging from Light Duty to Heavy Duty: SemiTrucks/Trailers Loaders Skid Steers Water Trucks Tractors Fork Lifts and Snow Plow Equipment.
- Operate Class A CDL Required SemiTrucks and Trailers.
- Safety in an Industrial Setting.
- Safe Operating Procedures for Heavy Equipment and SemiTrucks and Trailers.
- Safe Operation of Conveyor Systems.
- General Mechanical Concepts.
Necessary Attributes:
- Able to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Great interpersonal skills
Experience:
- Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Required)
- Equipment Operation: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Drivers License (Required)
- CDL Class A (Preferred)
