Job Description:

Seeds of Change Brand Director at Mars


The Seeds of Change Associate Brand Director is responsible for leading the Seeds of Change brand developing thevalue creation strategy and go to market plans owning full funnel marketing from content creation to implementationcreating the innovation masterplan and delivering value creation plans with emphasis on growth. This role must buildnew capability for Seed Quadrant insurgent brands including an alternate demand model and whitespace expansionand act as the business leader of the crossfunctional Seeds of Change Acceleration Team.


What are we looking for

  • Bachelors degree required MBA preferred
  • 7 years of marketing and brand management experience required; food brands and start up brandspreferred
  • People leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to operate successfully in a startup environment; ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial /founders mindset

What will be your key responsibilities


BUSINESS AND ENTERPRISE LEADERSHIP

  • Be an enterprise business leader of the brand: Own and manage the P&L including topline and bottom linecollaborate with full enterprise (Supply Commercial Demand Planning Sales) on the Seeds of Change demandforecast and identify corrective actions as needed.
  • Define and build Seed Quadrant model for Mars Food to accelerate insurgent brands including but not limitedto alternate demand model whitespace expansion new capability building within Mars Food (new innovationmodel sourcing strategy of organic/betterforyou ingredients)
  • Partner with sales to drive SEEDS OF CHANGE category story sellin SEEDS OF CHANGE and role model best inclass One Demand partnership
  • Lead the Seeds of Change 3year value creation plan and annual operating plans process.

BRAND BUILDING

  • Design and implement longterm and annual Marketing Plans to deliver the growth and earnings expectations.
  • Design and implement brand marketing strategies and content creation aligned with our Brand Essence andGuidelines.
  • Use market research and business analytics to enhance brand awareness household penetration consumerofftake.
  • Deliver robust innovation 3 year pipeline while championing a Test Build Scale innovation model for theorganization
  • Lead new product launches through collaboration with R&D Supply Chain Finance and Sales.
  • Direct external agency partners (advertising agency media agency shopper marketing dCom etc..
  • Lead packaging development projects on core Innovation
  • Serve as a brand steward to ensure the marketing strategy and positioning is accurately represented in allmarketing activities and materials.

ASSOCIATE ENGAGEMENT AND BUILDING EFFECTIVE TEAMS

  • Develop and engage a direct report across key Marketing and Leadership competencies
  • Lead and build a high performing SEEDS OF CHANGE Acceleration Team
  • Ensure a culture of trust open communication and sustained performance

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

  • Accelerate Omnicommerce growth for SEEDS OF CHANGE through convergence of marketing digital mediashopper marketing eCommerce and CRM
  • Develop breakthrough Digital Demand Creation Plans via a One Brief approach across all agency partners

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to market location jobrelated knowledge skills and total compensation package for this position mayalso include other elements if eligible including variable pay medical and dental benefits participation in 401k plan and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offeredand the employees work schedule (i.e. parttime schedule store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
