Job Description

Hi Were Sayer Vincent and were not your typical audit firm!

Weve been around for quite a while established in 1983 by three accountants committed to social justice they saw the need for dedicated specialist audit and advice for charities and social purpose organisations. Our company is growing and adapting but were pleased to say out founding ethos is still a drive at the firm to this day.

About your role


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing end to end client assignments within agreed budget and timetable.
  • Leading developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients from initial contact and tendering through to ongoing fee negotiations retention and expansion of our work with them.
  • Leading managing and developing people actively participating in the training and development of our trainees.
  • Contributing to implementation of technical changes client training and the firms development.


About You

  • You are a Chartered Accountant with an audit qualification and experience in managing audits including audits with a range of levels of turnover and complexity and interaction to FD/chief executive level.
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of clients as well as participating in the new client tendering process.
  • Have experience coaching more junior colleagues and ideally managing trainees going through their ACA qualification.
  • You will have a deep knowledge and understanding of the charity and notforprofit sector is desirable along with the ability to deliver strategic planning and thinking.
  • You will enjoy working with other people and possess good face to face and written communication skills particularly when interacting with people from a nonfinancial background.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a matrix management structure and have a good ability to manage multiple deadlines.
