Company:
The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking Senior Project Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the B1 Bomber programs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas which may include internal and external resources and customers
- Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development ongoing and new business requirements
- Works with customers and management to obtain approval
- Responds to changes to SOW assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables resources costs and schedules
- Leads project to complete the work statement
- Identifies performance metrics. Plans identifies and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program
- Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity
- Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance efficiencies productivity and lessons learned
- Provides technical business and integration leadership for the development and of project or team plans.
- Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
BasicQualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
- 5 years experience in Earned Value Management
- 5 years experience multidiscipline engineering project management
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Earned Value Management (EVM) silver medallion or higher
- Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas with internal and external resources and customers is preferred
- Experience with complex systems development and integration preferred
- Experience with leading project to complete the work statement is preferred
- Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools schedules and metrics (i.e. Earned value management DOORs CAMEO)
- Experience with Model Based Engineering
- Experience with Agile/JIRA
- Troubleshooting engineering skills
- Experience as a CAM or CAM delegate
