JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join Adients automotive metal seat frame welding plant in Battle Creek MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive planned and emergency maintenance in a production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for fixing equipment as needed changeovers PMs and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting.
- Ability and willingness to diagnose and repair the mechanical hydraulic and electrical aspects of a wide variety of machines.
- Working knowledge of PLCs.
- Perform quality checks.
- Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.
Education / Experience / Skills
- High School Education or Equivalent (GED).
- Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor is a plus.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Millwright Electrician or Machine repair in anautomotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in an automotive sheet metal stamping facility is a plus.
- Experience with large transfer and progressive dies is a plus.
- Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework.
- Standing 8 or more hours walking to assist in seat build rework etc.
- Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel.
- Able to work on 3rd shift 9:45pm 5:45am).
