Job Description

Overview

This position provides analytical underwriting and administrative support to our AmTrust Cyber Underwriting team. Underwriting Technicians work with all members of the AmTrust Cyber Underwriting team to generate risk management solutions tailored to each individual client. The role will involve implementing policies and procedures set forth by Cyber Underwriting leadership working with the underwriting team on both admitted and nonadmitted accounts and working within our internal rating system to produce quotes binders and policies. The Underwriting Technician is also responsible for making sure the final delivery of policy documents meets expectations of AmTrust Cyber Underwriters and our external brokers wholesalers and agents. This role interacts professionally with internal business partners including the AmTrust Cyber Underwriting and Management teams.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain AmTrust Cyber Submission inbox which involves reviewing submissions clearing accounts and providing confirmation of clearance to assigned AmTrust Underwriter

Track and report all system requests and alerts within the internal rating system which involves coordinating solutions to the underwriter and broker of record.

Assist with generating agency IDs as needed for new broker/agents and/or new office locations of brokers/agents throughout regions

Build out processes to streamline underwriting efficiencies

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience is preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Able to thrive in a structured corporate environment by utilizing organizational skills

Proficient in Excel Outlook Word and other Microsoft processing software tools

Highly analytical and possesses critical thinking skills

Able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
