Job Description
We are seekingSummer Employeesat ourThilmany Mill in Kaukauna WI. Starting rate of pay for production/shift work is $24.19 per hour! Employees are also eligible for a $3.50 per hour shift differential on weekends!
Summer employees work throughout the mill in a variety of departments such as in our paper mill pulp mill material handling etc. Responsibilities would include helping the department with general cleanup around paper machines and other moving equipment operating forklifts to assist with cleanup and various tasks assisting machine operators and other various projects in the mill. Employment would run from May/June through August/September.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis
- At least 18 years of age to work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work rotating 12hour 223 shift schedule or rotating 8hour southern swing (schedule is dependent on department). We do not have any straight shift openings and most will require weekend work.
- Able to successfully complete a preemployment drug screen
- Ability to work well with a team
- Physical Requirements include:
- Perform heavy work defined as lifting 100 lb. maximum with help with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Perform work while wearing a supplied air respirator (dependent on department)
- Work around fastmoving machinery
- Work at heights
- Drive a lifttruck type vehicle and operate hoists
- Work in a hot and humid environment
Potential Responsibilities:
- Must follow Ahlstromsmanufacturing and hygiene processes procedures and policies as applicable to the positions areas of responsibility in order to meet and maintain the safety quality and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
- Provide support to multiple areas and departments throughout the mill.
- Responsible for department housekeeping as requested.
- Assist equipment operators as required.
- Painting clerical tasks other production tasks as requested.
