We have a new opportunity for a Shift Engineer to join our brilliant Engineering team based in Middlesbrough!

Location: Middlesbrough (Southbank TS6 6BJ)

With operations across two manufacturing sites and one distribution location Middlesbrough is the home of party food including bhajis samosas onion rings and spring rolls.

Hours: 4on4off shift pattern 12 hour shifts (days and nights)

Salary: From 39000

Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to take an active part in maintaining developing and improving plant machinery and services. This will involve a variety of duties ranging from promptly repairing breakdowns to installing new equipment whilst ensuring that Health & Safety and quality standards are achieved in all aspects of work.

Your Duties Will Include:

• To swiftly respond to machine breakdowns effectively prioritising maintenance support in conjunction with line leader and supervisor.

• Daily duties to include electrical/electronics hydraulics pneumatics conveyors (wire belt) installations inspections and servicing with strong fault finding essential
• Help ensure appropriate stock levels of critical replacement parts.
• Effectively work with contractors using all necessary company procedures and take corrective action when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with and support production departments with advice and information to maintain the effective running of the equipment.
• Make recommendation and carry out work to improve equipment safety reliability and efficiency.
• Play an active part in training and selfdevelopment to ensure effective support for production.
• Participate in training and development activities as required and assist with the training and development of colleagues.
• Planned preventative maintenance
• To carryout ad hoc projects as and when required including project improvement schemes.
• There may be a requirement to temporarily to stand in for the Shift Team Leader.

Experience and Skills:

• Qualified engineer with electrical bias and a proven track record with strong engineering background.
• 2 years of Engineering experience ideally within a manufacturing/maintenance/food production setting
• Experience ofPLC/HMI controls (desirable)
• Excellent time management skills
• Knowledge of fault finding and preventative maintenance
• The ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
