The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) software capability is seeking multiple Embedded Software Engineers (Associate / Midlevel) in Fairfax VA Annapolis Junction MD El Segundo CA or Huntington Beach CA.

The position will involve creating software for world class next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks product team focused on the concept requirements architecture design and development of a future system. Position Responsibilities:
Assists with designs develops tests debugs and maintains software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry customer safety and regulation standards.
Assists with reviews analyzes and translates customer requirements into the design of software products for embedded devices and systems.
Develop code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardware.
Integrates embedded software with hardware components.
Analyzes monitors and improves the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
Tests and debugs software for embedded devices and systems.
Implements current and emerging technologies tools frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development and hardware technologies.
Advises on software and hardware integration domains.
Troubleshoots software issues

Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

1 years of experience in software development in any realtime operating system environment such as VxWorks and Deos
1 years of experience with ObjectOriented Development in C
1 years of experience with Agile development methodologies
Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
4 years of experience designing and developing software for a realtime or nonrealtime system
Experience automating software builds unit tests integration tests deployment and installations using a DevOps tool chain for example using GitLab Jenkins Nexus and Artifactory
Experience using GitLab
Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph

Typical Education/Experience:
Level 2 (Associate Level)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard
Level 3 (Midlevel)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master3 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.
