The Corporate Counsel Real Estate will provide general legal counsel to Mosaics business units and functions with a focus on real estate corporate and land management support in order to achieve business objectives and also anticipate and minimize legal exposures. Responsibilities will include drafting reviewing and negotiating contracts leases policies and other documents and consulting with company personnel to properly evaluate communicate and manage risks; developing and implementing legal policies and procedures; assessing and managing litigation; and providing proactive assistance to other attorneys on a wide range of issues and with primary responsibility for supporting Mosaics real estate transactions and related land management support.
What will you do
Draft analyze review and negotiate contracts policies and other documents
Consult with company personnel to properly evaluate communicate and manage risk
Provide general legal counsel to Mosaics business units and functions on legal and strategic business matters to anticipate and minimize legal exposures
Provide proactive assistance to other attorneys on a wide range of issues including real estate legal support corporate legal compliance corporate governance transactions corporate finance and commercial matters
Assess and manage legal disputes and conflicts which will occasionally include supervising outside counsel to reduce legal risks and expense
What do you need for this role
Juris Doctor (J.D. required
Membership in the state bar association as an attorney licensed to practice law preferably in Florida
4 years of corporate and real estate experience in a law firm or corporate law department
Strong academic credentials
Strong background working with corporations in support of real estate transactions and related matters as well as general commercial legal experience is required
Prior Corporate/Fortune 500 experience is a plus
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook)
Excellent verbal written and listening communication skills which includes excellent presentation and facilitation skills
Executive presence and ability to communicate well with senior managers
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work within and lead diverse teams
Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization
Positive highly goal oriented selfmotivated with strong leadership qualities
