ONEOK is seeking a highly motivated Budget Analyst to join our Building Operations team. In this role you will be responsible for preparing budget information and assisting the Building Operations team with daily tasks to operate ONEOK Plaza and other corporate facilities across the companys footprint.Job Profile Summary
Performs an intermediate level of activities related to compiling analyzing preparing and presenting budget information and monthly financial variances. May provide an intermediate level of activity related to compliance activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Perform moderately complex compilation and preparation of budget information for various company department or business segments
Analyze and/or compare actual performance compared to estimated expenses revenues operating income and capital expenditures
Perform calculations and/or analyses including but not limited to:
Interest
Financial ratios
Discounts
Projections/forecasts
Variances
Cash flow
Operating expenses
Overheads
Revenue
Capital expenditures
Compile verify and/or prepare financial information including but not limited to:
Forecasted versus actual expenses
Governmental/regulatory reports
Financial reports
Reconciliation reports
Provide information and assistance to employees from governmental and/or regulatory agencies auditing firms management and others concerning budgets accounting processes various financial reports and forecasts
Interprets data to provide accurate budget planning project tracking and monthly financial reporting at a Region level for multiple legal entities
Provides advanced knowledge of compliance requirements. Trains others in the proper indexing and scanning techniques for the data management system being used
Education
Bachelors Degree in accounting finance or other related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience
Work Experience
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: compliance requirements along with a proven thorough working knowledge of all administrative requirements related to environmental safety and operations compliance audits
Knowledge of: interpreting and applying generally accepted accounting methods and procedures
Knowledge of: economic forecasting/modeling and company budget functions
Knowledge of: energy industry accounting functions
Skills in: communication
Ability to: research compose reconcile and prepare reports invoices studies and correspondence applicable to position
Ability to: read and interpret company correspondence reports accounting and taxrelated publications income statements contracts ledgers manuals and legal documents
Ability to: provide administrative and financial training and support to all levels of Region personnel
Ability to: develop and present information to individuals and groups
Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations
Ability to: apply math algebra and statistical methods.
