Job Description
This leading aerospace company specializes in the design and manufacture of aircraft components and systems. They pride themselves on innovation quality and precision and are looking for a skilled and experienced CATIA Draughtsman to join their team to support the design and development of cuttingedge aerospace technologies.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D technical drawings using CATIA V5 in line with aerospace standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineers to develop design concepts and solutions.
- Produce detailed assembly drawings and component designs for aerospace structures and systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations and customer specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and support the continuous improvement of design processes.
- Assist with the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
- Liaise with the manufacturing team to ensure the feasibility and precision of designs.
Requirements:
- Qualification: A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 25 years of experience in aerospace design and drafting with proficiency in CATIA V5.
- Skills:
- Proficient in CATIA V5 for both 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Experience in designing aerospace components (e.g. structures mechanical systems and avionics).
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with aerospace design standards and industry regulations (e.g. AS9100.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Problemsolving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
