Our Consumer Credit department is fundamental in that process encompassing a variety of different teams who strive to ensure that these ideals are constantly upheld.
How will you make an impact in this role
To ensure success as a Credit Specialist within the International Currency Card team you will undergo extensive training and be provided with a wide range of tools. This will empower you to make informed decisions in all situations! You will have continuous coaching monthly once training has been completed to enable you to reach your fullest potential.
Every one of our Credit Specialists represent the American Express brand. They take work seriously because they are more than just a voice on the other side of the phone or screen they are problem solvers and relationship builders. The people you will work with and the Card Members you will care for value your passion and unique personality as much as we do.
Our Brighton office is a 24/7 service centre contract for this role is full time 35hrs per week working five out of seven days between the hours of 7am 9pm.
In this role you will:
- Conduct inbound calls for all queries relating to Euro & Dollar Cards or Private Banking Card Members and Account Managers.
- Ask questions about the Card Members situation and try to find a solution to their challenge.
- Making outbound calls to collect overdue high balances on Euro Dollar or Private Banking cards.
- Reviewing financial information such as credit statements sent in by Card Members.
- Ensure strict ID verification and compliance with data protection to safeguard accounts.
- Uphold the American Express brand image and customer loyalty through outstanding customer service.
- Work to the highest standards with a balanced delivery of both customer experience and shareholder value.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Passion to serve customers and represent the American Express brand.
- Coachability and able to be flexible and adaptable.
- Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills.
- Confident taking the initiative to problem solve and make effective decisions.
- Professional telephone manner with the ability to influence without authority.
- Premium written communication skills with attention to detail and ability to work methodically through stepbystep instructions.
- Ability to build rapport and negotiate to provide winwin solutions.
- A team player who can work in highpressure environments.
- Empathetic and have emotional resilience with the ability to discuss complex topics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with highnet worth individuals or customer service for premium brands.
- Prior experience working in a credit and collections role is advantageous.
