Saddleback College is seeking a parttime nontenure track Cheer Coach to lead the Cheerleading program and instruct intercollegiate athletic and Kinesiology courses during the summer and fall terms.
As a proud member of the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) and the California Community College Athletic Association 3C2A) Saddleback College is committed to athletic excellence and student success.
The successful candidate will report to the Dean of Kinesiology & Athletics/Athletics Director and will be responsible for all facets of managing a competitive Community College Cheerleading program. Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:
1. A Bachelors degree or higher in any discipline AND two 2 years of professional experience OR
2. An Associates degree in any discipline AND six 6 years of professional experience
ANDThe professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty members teaching assignment of Coaching Cheerleading.
In addition to the minimum qualifications your experience should also reflect:
A. Successful coaching experience at the collegiate level preferably in the designated sport.
B. Successful recruiting experience at the collegiate level.
The successful candidate may have one of the following desired qualifications:
4. Masters degree or higher in physical education exercise science education with an emphasis in physical education kinesiology physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education from an accredited college or university OR
5. Bachelors degree in any of the above #3 AND a Masters degree in any life science dance physiology health education recreation administration or physical therapy from an accredited college or university OR
6. Valid California Community College instructor credential appropriate to the subject per Education Code 87355 (issued prior to July 1 1990 OR
7. A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of items 1 or 2 OR 4 or 5 above.
