Job Description
Responsibilities
We are hiring! We are looking for a Junior Systems Administrator that will support our MIDS Data Center in Memphis TN. This role is onsite with call rotation.
What will you do:
- Work with site lead and take direction for daily activities
- Performs coordination of associated activities for facilities management and material/equipment handling must work onsite at a customer data center in Memphis TN.
- Communicate with customers suppliers and other individuals to answer questions disseminate or explain information or fulfill requests/change orders/problem tickets
- Complete site audits and report to Hardware Asset Manager
- Maintains infrastructure rack and power diagrams and makes reports as needed
- May serve as backup
- While performing the duties of this job the resource is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel bend crouch or crawl
- The employee may also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more
- Building out racks and placing servers and network hardware in racks connecting cables power and configuring ilo ports for management access.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience.; 6 years with HS Diploma
- Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards principles and theories providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity
- Experience with a data center and installing equipment IT components
- Experience with servers SAN cabling VM a plus
- Proficient with MS Office: Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint
- Experience with SNOW or other ITSM tools
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active MBI clearance
