As the Director of People Ops you will manage both the big picture and daytoday operations of the People function. Youll play a critical role in supporting a positive and engaging employee experience for our growing and distributed team.
This role involves a hybrid work approach balancing inoffice collaboration with the ability to work remotely.
Expectations (In this role you will):
- Partner closely with our Executive team and people managers to build a performancedriven cultureacting as a coach and thought partner on everything from feedback and team development to org planning and accountability
- Manage and evolve our total rewards program including compensation and benefits to help us attract retain and motivate top talent
- Build and run People programs across the employee journey like onboarding performance and development in partnership with leadership and grounded in Mudflaps mission and values
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams like Talent Finance and Legal to stay aligned on hiring compensation and systems; help shape scalable effective People practices
- Support managers through employee relations issues with empathy and clarity offering practical solutionsoriented guidance
- Oversee core People operationsincluding benefits HRIS and People datastepping in when needed to keep things running smoothly and compliantly
- Ensure we comply with all employment laws and internal policies identifying gaps or inefficiencies and leading thoughtful improvements as we grow
- Support employees to resolve questions/challenges and provide an excellent experience to the Mudflap team
Experience (What we look for):
- 7 years of experience in People Operations/Human Resources including time at a highgrowth startup
- Proven experience as a strategic business partner to leaders especially in coaching managers shaping team development and influencing org decisions
- Strong expertise in benefits compensation compliance and People systems (we use ADP WFN HiBob Greenhouse Sequoia and more)
- A track record of using data and sound judgment to prioritize make decisions and drive results at both strategic and tactical levels
- Excellent communication skillswritten verbal and visualincluding experience presenting to senior leadership
- Strong project management skills with the ability to see initiatives through from idea to
- Techsavvy and quick to learn new tools systems and processes with the ability to work independently and bring in others when needed

The salary range for this role is $150000 $200000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidates skills experience and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or shortterm incentives.
