Dover Sherborn Middle School is seeking a skilled and experienced Special Educator with formal reading certification to support children staff and families. The role would be a 1.0 position. A successful candidate will have a Masters degree and experience providing individualized instruction across academic social and behavioral domains. Furthermore the candidate must have multisensory reading certification. Competency and experience in administering standardized and criterionreferenced assessments developing IEPs and monitoring student progress is essential. Effective strategies for optimal student engagement and facilitating accommodations and modifications to support student access within the general education classroom are imperative. Responsibilities: Teaches multisensory reading to students with disabilities Conducts standardized and informal assessments Effective use of strategies and knowledge of pedagogy to teach students with disabilities Communication skills both with staff and parents Serves as liaison for students with disabilities Cultural proficiency and responsiveness Writes evaluation reports IEPs and progress reports Our district is committed to strengthening opportunities for diversity equity and inclusion.
