Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Contract Pathologists Assistant to join our team in Las Vegas Nevada for a 13week contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Pathologists Assistant to work in a dynamic and fastpaced environment. The position offers competitive hourly compensation along with an attractive benefits package. The shift will be from 4:00 PM to Midnight and the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our pathology department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pathologists with gross examinations dissection and preparation of specimens.

  • Accurately document pathological findings and maintain detailed records.

  • Prepare and process tissue specimens for further examination.

  • Provide support with autopsies including specimen collection labeling and preservation.

  • Handle specialized equipment for preparing and processing specimens.

  • Ensure all specimens are properly maintained and transported as needed.

  • Collaborate with lab and pathology staff to ensure a high standard of patient care.

  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment in accordance with established protocols.

  • Participate in team meetings and continue professional development as required.

Requirements:
  • Pathologists Assistant (PA) Certification and eligibility to work in the field.

  • Must obtain a Nevada State Pathologists Assistant License before starting (assistance may be provided).

  • Proven experience working in a pathology setting with a strong understanding of gross anatomy dissection techniques and specimen handling.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fastpaced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job (handling specimens working with laboratory equipment etc..
