Job Description
Position Title: Senior Electrical Designer
Location Requirement:Bellingham WA; Billings MT; Bismarck ND; Minneapolis MN; Spokane WA; Vancouver WA
Position Type:W2 Direct Hire
Summary
Work includes support for all project phases with particular focus in detailed engineering. Position will be assigned as electrical design lead for projects and will be responsible for coordination and ensuring effective communications with other engineering disciplines.
Reporting
Position reports administratively to the Electrical Engineering Manager. In project structure position reports to the discipline lead engineer and/or the project manager/project engineer.
Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
- With minimal supervision assists engineers with equipment layout grounding lighting cable tray and conduit routing wiring diagrams onelines panel layouts assignments subsequently providing familiarity with the programs staff and operating procedures of the company.
- Responsible for preparation of electrical design drawings and sketches.
- Responsible for preparation of construction drawing and specification packages.
Education Skills and Experience
- Associates Degree in design drafting with the related discipline preferred. Candidates without a degree but with exceptional experience will also be considered.
- Significant industrial experience is required with demonstrated capabilities with equipment layout and electrical design associated with retrofit projects. Midstream hydrocarbon experience is a plus.
- Candidates must be able to develop and read P&IDs and identify items (e.g. process equipment tanks/vessels valves instruments electrical equipment) in the field. Demonstrated field documentation experience required.
- High proficiency in using AutoCAD Microsoft Word and Excel. 3D design and modeling experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with ability to lead of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
- Capable of working directly with clients from proposal development through project .
- Previous consulting experience is strongly preferred.
Certifications Credentials Licenses & Registrations
- Eligibility to obtain or currently hold a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.

All Company staff must have the legal right to work in the United States. Company does not provide immigration or work visa sponsorship.
Special Client/Partner Notes:
Can be at any location. Onsite for most of first 6 months with hybrid on M & F. Possible 10 travel. Possible some relocation expenses.
