Hours Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week flexible working with core hours

Holiday 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

Do you have tax experience within an accountancy practice

Due to growth we have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious tax professional to join the team in our Sussex office. Happy to consider applications from SemiSenior up to Manager level the key is finding the right person to complement our existing team.

The role offers prospects for career development and is a great opportunity to work alongside likeminded professionals to provide a firstclass service to our clients in both compliance and advisory areas.

Responsibilities will vary depending on the level of hire but could involve:

1. preparing tax returns for individuals and partnerships
2. preparing ERS and EMI returns
3. preparing forms P11d and PSA calculations
4. dealing with client queries and HMRC enquiries
5. involvement with capital gains tax and inheritance tax
6. advisory work
7. assisting partners with specialist tax consultancy projects
8. potential to get involved in trusts estates & corporate related consultancy if desired
9. identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities
10. managing own flow of work

About you

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

1. minimum of 2 years relevant accountancy practice experience
2. qualified ATT CTA or qualified by experience
3. excellent client relationship skills and the ability to nurture existing clients as well as the ability to help develop new business and demonstrate technical breadth akin to your level
4. ability to explain complex tax issues in plain English for all levels of understanding
5. technical proficiency and good IT skills specifically intermediate Excel. Previous experience of CCH is an advantage
6. as the role may require you to travel to client premises it is vital you hold a current driving licence and have your own transport.
