Fixed rate role of 929.32 weekly based
Average 42 hour week but on a shift pattern of 2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights 12 hours

FBC UK was a match made in heaven with two of the top UK biscuits manufacturers (Burtons Biscuits and Foxs Biscuits) coming together to create one unique integrated company.
We are home to famous iconic brands including Maryland Foxs Jammie Dodger & Rocky to name just a few. We are proud manufacturing partners to some of the biggest UK retailers and household names. We bake our incredible biscuits at eight bakeries across the UK located at Isle of Arran Livingston Blackpool Llantarnam Edinburgh Kirkham Batley & Dorset and our HQ in St Albans. Together we employ circa 4000 amazing colleagues across all our locations.

What does your typical day look like
- Educated to HNC standard (or equivalent) or higher in Electrical Engineering is essential
- Preferably qualified to currentBS 7671:2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations IET Wiring Regulations.
- Timeserved with electrical bias to NVQ/SVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
- Post apprenticeship and experienced in preferably a highspeed highvolume manufacturing environment (food environment preferable)
- A proven practitioner of preventative maintenance predictive maintenance problem solving and continuous improvement skills
- Must have a proven ability in diagnostic fault finding under pressure of production
- Must have proven experience in PLC Control systems and PLC fault finding experience in AB PLC5 SLC500 Control Logix Compact Logix Factory Talk View RS Networks (including Ethernet DeviceNet communications)
- Familiarity with the use of PC equipment is essential
- Proven experience of working with the AB PowerFlex range of AC Inverters
What are the key ingredients needs for the role
- Familiar with TPM principles including 5S. Use of CMMS ideally Shire (Pirana) but not essential
- Experience of Siemens S5/S7 PLC systems would be an advantage.
- Experience of fault finding on refrigeration plant would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with ABB Robotic Technology would be an advantage.
- Experience of servo drive systems would be advantageous.
