Position Title: Buildings & Grounds Attendant
Department: Auxiliary Services
Term of Assignment:Continuing
Term End Date If Applicable:
FLSA Status: NonExempt overtime eligible
Work Schedule: Variable shifts/days/locations; including evening and weekend shifts with the potential start time between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm
Salary: $17.42 starting; $18.28 working
Travel: No travel
Brief Statement of Duties:Under routine supervision engage in a variety of housekeeping custodial and maintenance projects in University buildings and on adjacent grounds.
Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent
Discipline/Degree Area:
Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Valid Michigan motor vehicle operators license as required.
Required Minimum Work Experience: Combination of two years of experience in custodial and/or building and grounds maintenance work in hotels/motels apartments or relevant business or institutional settings.
Knowledge Skills Abilities or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
Physical capability to perform all the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Ability to pass relevant oral written and/or performance testing.
Ability to maintain currency of technology and tools.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Completion of relevant training.
