Job Description
Unit Manager Renal Unit
Location: Gqeberha
A leading private healthcare facility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Manager to oversee its Renal Unit.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Renal Unit to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and best practices.
- Maintain and enhance operational efficiency within the unit.
- Oversee the management of both chronic and acute dialysis treatments.
- Ensure effective utilization of various dialysis machine types (e.g. Braun Fresenius Adcock).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain adherence to healthcare regulations and professional standards.
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Nephrology Nursing OR a qualified Renal Technologist OR a Registered Nurse with a Post Basic Critical Care qualification and renal experience in both chronic and acute dialysis.
- At least 2 years of renal management experience.
- Management experience in private healthcare is advantageous.
- Proven leadership and people management experience within healthcare.
- Valid SANC or HPCSA registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Valid drivers license and own transport.
