Position: Childrens House Director 2526 School Year Starts July 1 2025)Reports to: The Head of SchoolHours: FullTime ExemptDescription: Harborlight Montessori is seeking a compassionate organized and joyful leader to serve as our Childrens House Director. We are looking for a skilled communicator with adults and children someone who approaches their work with empathy flexibility and professionalism. As a dedicated Montessorian you bring a developmental lens to your interactions with children and a commitment to best practices in diversity equity and belonging. Our Childrens House program has seven classrooms an outdoor classroom and two playgrounds. The Childrens House program currently enrolls 120 students and a staff of 21 teachers. Key Responsibilities:School Leadership:Is a member of the Schools Leadership team and attends weekly leadership team meetings Creates a culture of equity and belonging for CH teachers students and with the Director of Education to ensure that all EEC regulations are reads and edits reports for Parent Conferences three times per support and supervision:Provides leadership to faculty in their work with children parents and and evaluates the Childrens House teachersConducts weekly meetings with the CH Faculty and keeps written agendas and minutesParticipates in ongoing professional development; i.e. educational courses workshops seminars etc. and oversees professional development for the CH the supplies for the CH staff schedules for school year and summer in the classroom or with coverage when Support:Responsible for weekly parent communication participates in parent meetings/communication as needed and runs parent orientation and education all school major Support:Supports teachers in addressing/nurturing each students physical emotional cognitive and social the communication and scheduling of early interventionists in their work with children at Harborlight.
