We are actively seeking a Dispatcher who under the supervision of the Dispatch Manager will be responsible for dispatching port tugs in response to requests for vessel escorts on the St. Lawrence River docking and undocking maneuvers in ports. He will also ensure that all information and documentation related to the requests are entered and completed in the computer system.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:
- Receive requests for vessel escorts.
- Coordinate the assignment of a captain or pilot boat to vessels requesting it depending on other escort operations in progress.
- Respond to calls from Captains to assist them in resolving any problems that arise and inform the Port Director.
- Regularly update the dispatch board to ensure requests are properly coordinated.
- Monitor maritime activity on the St. Lawrence River.
- Keep updated on the movements of the Ocean Group Captains as well as current escort information.
- Perform various support functions for other services such as ordering and support the activities of the Health Safety and Environment Management System.
OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:
- Degree in Transport Logisitics or other relevant training for the position
- Experience in the maritime industry
- At least one to two years experience in transportation logistics
- Available to work rotating day evening night or weekend shifts depending on schedule
- Languages: advanced level in French and intermediate level in English both written and spoken.
